People in Water

A wonderful serene under water portrait. Ivory looks very at peace in the water and poses so well. Lovely choice of colours and fab composition. The lighting falls beautifully on her face. Nicely positioned within the frame, giving us a good composition.

Wow, what a fantastic shot. That sweep of water caused by the surfing board and wave is very appealing, creating a leading line up to the surfer. Great action / sports shot, I do like the position of the surfer and the concentration on their face. I quite like the onlooker too.

Congratulations on placing in the top ten in my people in water competition. I really enjoy this image, it instantly transports you to holiday in a tropical paradise. The blues and slight golden tones work nicely. I like the added touch of a glass of liquid too. I almost came higher, but the shrub behind the main subject is slightly distracting. Great job though.

I love the idea and think you have executed it extremely well. The whole composition works nicely, even though the surfer is going out of the frame, they are well positioned both in the frame and along that sweep of water. The colours and shapes are wonderful, a lovely dynamic image.

I love that you can see palm trees and a complex building above the water which add to the story. I also enjoy the abstract feel of the image too. The positioning of the girl coming towards you works very well and I like that one hand is out stretched towards you.

Whilst Ive seen hundreds of similar images, what keeps this apart is the flow from bottom left to top right, the wonderful shape and positioning of the model, her grace, the colours and how the light falls. Blue and yellow work well together and help boost the image too. Great choice to darken the bottom, it works well, along with that sweep of blue light landing on the model. ( great job by your model too - she has poise)

A fantastic high speed surfing portrait, which really gives a feeling of how powerful and strong the waves are. I like their position within the frame too. Nice and sharp, with so much of that motion frozen. Really great shot.

I think you have composed it well, catching the person in a white top with their hand out on the thirds too. My eye sweeps around the image, wondering about what is occurring. It suits the conversion to black and white. You have also handled light well.

What a wonderful atmosphere you have caught here, with the steam rising from the pool, well caught. I like the colour palette of mostly blues and whites. Nice composition. I do find the sun area too bright unfortunately, maybe if you cropped the top third out it would work even better.

Whilst at first glance this appears a simple snap shot, however it is executed so much better than most of the similar type of shots I've seen. Lots of lovely detail, a leading line of water taking you to the subject and such bright pops of colour on the person. I think cropping it a little might make it even better.

All the additional props, clothing and headwear help pull it all together. Nice lighting on your model, although I find the light on her foot a bit too strong, pulling the attention away from the models face.

The details and light are spot on. The connection between the divers really helps give this impact, as well as their position.
