People Obscured by Mist or Fog

A wonderfully atmospheric picture. I love how you’ve used the lines in the cobblestones to draw our attention to our mysterious protagonist. The pink buildings either side work well to offer us a kind of frame as well as adding just enough pale colour, and their slight shabbiness only adds to the atmosphere.

An enticing blend of idyll and mystery. No doubt an early start that captures both that light and that sense peace eminently. It could have been a messy composition with so much detail, but you’ve got it spot on with the boat perfect and of course used the mist well to flatten than background. Colours are spot on too.

A wonderfully atmospheric picture, which meets the brief perfectly. The powerful lines running through the centre of the picture lead us to the mysterious protagonist. Is he walking towards us or away from us? What is he doing there? The mist just shrouds that detail from us perfectly. Exposure is perfect as well, and I guess there was little editing to be done. This picture could be on the cover of a mystery novel.

At first glance I thought this must be a section of the Great Wall...the railings enshrouded in mist add an intriguing sense of grandeur. I think the composition is great, just the right spot to make use of the curves in the bridge. This is another entry that could be the cover of a mystery novel.
