Potted Plants

What a stunning photo! The way the sun is hidden behind the building and also the colours in this shot immediately reminded me of a holiday feeling! By taking this picture from below looking up, you made it much more interesting than taking a photo of this building face-on would have been. I really like that the underside of the potted plant is visible, which is a part that is usually not seen.

Congratulations on winning first place of the Judge's Choice part of this contest! I picked this photo because I love the vibrant colours of the potted flowers and the sea and mountains in the background. Looking at this photo immediately feels like being on holiday, and who doesn't love that?

This photo instantly makes me feel nostalgic! Its vibrant colours and subject matter make it look like it would fit perfectly into a travel magazine from the 1980s. The plants pictured are very impressive as well, with the woman who is standing in the middle being a good reference point to highlight quite how tall they are!

One thing I didn't expect when coming up with this contest theme is how many amazing animals would make an appearance! I think this toad might be my favourite animal cameo, it's a great story and it's very sweet that it has lived there for many years - it definitely does look like it owns the place!
