We are looking at the stuffed Mr Fox, sporting a binocular, probably spying out some hunters. The shollow depth of field separates the fox nicely from the background and the focus on the fox gives very nice detail of the fox fur and the old binocular. The colors have been reduced to black & white, which suits the image very well. The odd combination of fox & binocular makes an extra point for originalty. Well done!
"The Mouse's perspective" - I love the choice of perspective here, focussing on the claws of this bird of prey, located in the Brisbane museum. The photographer has done well in removing any reflections caused by the glass case and dealing with poor light. The choice of black & white also works well for this shot. Of course, the perspective makes an extra point for originality. Good job!

We find them in medical collections for educational purposes, in private collections, museums, even in art exhibitions and exotic pharmacies. They display the normal and the abnormal. Especially in Victorian times stuffed animals in life-like positions in glass cases were a welcome house decoration, but also today they find their enthusiasts. Creepy for some, wanted objects for others. Don't look away, show us the bottled and the stuffed, who found their grave on display.
