I adore this photo, the angle that it has been taken, looking down on the people walking down the hill towards the lady next to the ladder. It is a really pleasing photo. The colours are wonderful, leaving it looking old fashioned and dreamy, and the red of the boys t-shirt contrasts these colours beautifully. Well done

What a beautiful photo, taken at a wonderful angle to capture the essence of the town. I love the reflection of the viaduct on the river below, just catching the small boat in the reflection too. My eye is drawn to the intense greenery with the splash of red roof tops amongst it. A really wonderful photo and worthy of being in the top 10.

This photo is absolutely stunning. It sums up a quaint English town perfectly, helped of course by the beautiful sea and the sunshine. The photo really draws you in to it and makes me want to see what is between the houses at the street level.

There are many photos of this idyllic place, but this one really caught my eye. It has an aged look about it and the way the light catches the front of the houses with the misty fields and trees behind is beautiful. This definitely deserves it's place in the top 10.

I love this photo, I want to walk across this quaint little bridge. What a wonderful place this must be to live. The beautiful Cotswold stone buildings contrasted against the lush greenery is lovely and the eye is drawn up the gorgeous stream that runs through the centre of this small village. And to round it off, the two ducks just casually swimming from under the bridge is gorgeous. Well done.

What a quaint little place! This photo makes me want to walk past these cottages and see where this little lane goes. A lovely well composed image capturing the true essence of an English village. It almost looks like it could be turned into a miniature model village. Just perfect. Well done.

I have never heard of Rye, but this photo makes me want to visit. It has an air of being a bit dreamy and rustic. I love the way the cobbled path leads you in from the foreground and draws your eye to the centre where the path disappears. The textures and colours work perfectly together. Well done.

The textures and colours in this photos are beautiful, the eye is drawn along the thatched roof tops to the stunning church in the background. The sky really makes this picture something special, and the thatched rooftops really stand out. Stunning.

This photo is beautiful. The angle that it has been captured from is lovely, leading the eye up the road between the cottages. The colours are really punchy and the detail is sharp. To capture such a quaint little village with no people or traffic in is quite something. A worthy top 10 contender.

I would love to see your photographs of quaint and picturesque English villages. People and animals can be present in the photo but the focus must be on the village itself, something that stands out to make the village picture-perfect.
