This wonderful image from Nguyen is the clear winner in this month's Reflection contest. We loved it because of the sublime sunset colours in both the sky and carried throughout the gentle reflection in the water as well as striking poses from the fisherman that give the image a strong focal point. He's cleverly framed his shot so that the fishermen are in the middle of the frame and so that the sun is behind the person on the left, preventing the sun from causing a bright 'hot spot' in the picture. It's a fantastic travel shot, enhanced by this beautiful shimmering reflection and one worthy of first place in our competition. Well done!
There were only a few portraits submitted in this month's Reflection contest, but this lovely image from Todd stood out as our favourite, packed with a vibrant autumnal colour palette and minimalist vibe. We love how he used the reflection in the lake to provide a consistent and ethereal orange and yellow background that really helps the model to stand. He's got the angle just right to show the reflection of the model's face too, though we can't help wonder if the image would work even more strongly if rotated 90º to the right.

Marco's landscape shot of popular and picturesque Lago Di Braies has some fantastic depth to it. He's cleverly placed the steps and walkway centrally in the bottom third of the frame to guide the eye towards the middle of the shot, acting as lead-in lines. Then we have the stunning mountains in the middle of the frame and dramatic clouds looming over the top portion, both of which are reflected in the perfectly still lake waters. We think a mono conversion was the right treatment for this shot as the scene is packed with contrast and perfect for it. Top job!

This is a wonderful night painting image and the photographer clearly has a lot of skill to create this striking image, but unfortunately this is a Canon-only competition and the image was taken on a Sony camera according to the EXIF data. Please make sure you read the entry requirements in future contests but best of luck to you!

DO: Ensure your photo was taken on a Canon camera. Have EXIF data in your photo (or supply the camera settings in the info section). Provide a title for your photo. Write a description of the photo you're entering of at least 50 words to give us the background of what the image is of and how it was taken. A little context can go a long way!
