This image was a clear contender for me really early on in the contest. It's a stunningly abstract image, with a clear repetitive pattern. It's hard to know what you're looking at, and it makes you stop and think.
Given the location of the building, part of a redevelopment of city docklands, I love that the image hasn't been cleaned up too much - the dirt on the wall is still there, a few tiles have chips or aren't quite straight any more. It adds a realism which I enjoy.
This image is so clear, so pristine, so ethereally futuristic I'm still not 100% convinced it isn't computer generated! The architect's vision and hours of careful craftsmanship (and cleaning!) are beautifully captured by the photographer. I think the choice of framing has been really clever - focusing more on the ceiling but allowing the line of columns to be clear, cropping out the no doubt busy concourse below. Well done!

Sometimes it seems like constructing a building was a very boring job. Row after row of identical features, or even complete buildings stretching off into the distance. This might have been a boring few months for the builders, but it presents a wonderful opportunity to the photographer. I'd love to see your best photos of repetition in architecture. The repetition can be small scale such as brickwork, tiles or window panes; or it can be large scale such as a row of terraced houses, symmetric buttresses, or even whole skyscrapers. Modern and ancient architecture are welcome. The repetitive unit doesn't need to be identical, but there should be enough to give a clear impression of a pattern.
