This is how a straight on, centred waterfall photo should be taken. The main cascade is exposed just right to keep the brightest highlights white, while retaining the details in the thin hair-like stands of flowing water. The rest of the scene contains the details of the location and foreground interest of the continuing river flow. Great work!
This is a magnificent example of how an unconventional composition can create a captivating photo. The main focus of the image, the waterfall, is such a small percentage of the overall pixel count, yet literally sets the flow for the rest of the shot. Framed on its own within the photo by the moss covered vegetation, the waterfall draws the viewer deep into the scene, then guides their eye down the river to open the field of vision to the beautifully detailed forest. Focus, exposure and composition are spot on, and the colour palette wonderfully accentuates the magical essence of the location. Great work!

A classic feature of landscape imagery, often providing leading lines through the scene, and added interest, rivers and streams draw us to them when we’re out and about looking for subjects to shoot. We tend to think of them winding through rugged landscapes, but our towns and cities have plenty of water coursing through them too.
A beautiful waterfall shot and well taken. You've managed to capture the details and colours of the location really well! I would have thought the people in the scene were intentionally placed there with how well they fit the scene. Even the colour of the clothing stands out against the rest of the image. I hope they have a copy of this shot!
There's so much power in this image! The slight long exposure adds just enough blur to the water to create an energetic movement to the flow. The black and white works really well here too. Although the overall image does have some over processing to the point of losing details in shadows and over sharpening in the finer details, it is still a stand out and engaging image. Well done!
A very well exposed and composed photo of the Charles Bridge. There is just enough length of shutter speed to soften the details in water and sky, while retaining the movement and life on the bridge. While the technical aspects of composition and exposure are spot on, there is a softness of details upon closer inspection that prevent elevating this photo to a higher status. This may be from a combination of too narrow of an aperture and slight camera movement from wind. This is still a wonderful photo that would look great framed and on a wall!
What a gorgeous photo! When I'm able to break away from a staring competition with those eye-like red windows, I'm treated to a quiet scene with delicate details. A scene half warm and half cool with misty fog shrouded layers. The unique character of the little island and the building is so captivating. A wonderful work of art!
These are the kind of scenes I would love to take myself. An abstract landscape from far away, but a detailed and interesting location the deeper you look. Everything is positioned perfectly, from the foremost trees at the edges to the line of the stream running along the front of the frame then deeper into the blackened forest. The small details are a bonus for the exploring viewer, such as the unburnt base of the trees and hint of shadows from the muted sunlight. I also love that this is not a black and white photo!

The warm colour palette in this photo is a wonderful change from the typical cooler tones seen in waterfall scenes. The golden light gives the photo a life of its own. This on its own wouldn't be enough to create a stand out image. The framing of the waterfall, completely encompassed within its surroundings, the perfectly balanced exposure, and the soft misty light from the top left, all work to captivate the viewer and keep them coming back for more.
Such a bright and vibrant image filled with light, movement and life! The reds and greens of the forest balance nicely with the monotone details of the flowing water. I'd love to see more detail in the top portion of the image with the distant beginning of the waterfall. Whether this is an extra addition or blurred for a reason I'm unsure. It's a minor point though that doesn't detract from the overall splendour of the photo. Great work!
The texture of that water is pillow soft and silky smooth! There is a stillness to the scene fighting with the power and weight of the water. The eyes hear the sound of the waterfall that begins to quieten as they flow down the river, into the photo. The human figure adds a sense of scale to everything. Exposure is spot on, retaining details in the finest of water flows and the shadows of the surrounding landscape.

A serene minimalistic landscape executed perfectly. The soft early morning light is reflected exquisitely from the metallic feature on the front of the ship. Which to be completely candid, from first look at the thumbnail I thought was a goat standing on the prow of the ship! The ethereal beach boats in the background balance the image nicely as well as add to the sleepy morning feel. Great composition and exposure!
The silky soft texture of the water contrasts beautifully with the details in the old log. I can see what drew you to this scene and take this photo. A couple of things could improve the shot and increase the professional look. The colour balance has an overall slight green tint. An easy fix to shift a little towards the magenta range. The other is more of a personal preference in a small crop and rotation to just include the details of the flow and log, as the extra parts along the top and left distract without adding too much. Exposure is spot on and you've got a great eye to see the possibilities in a long exposure at a location like this. Well done!
A very well balanced composition and...omg is that a fish?! That tiny bit of contrast in the white of the water isn't quite enough to draw the eye straight away, but just enough to create a wonderful surprise to an already beautiful scene. While I'd like to see a little more detail in the shadows, the exposure is still good. The yellow of the flowers combined with the log across the water create a slight symmetry to balance the shape of the waterfall too.
The first thing that comes to mind is the professional way exposure has been controlled in a situation like this. Shooting inside a cave like this with bright lights outside and still keeping the detail of the extra waterfall is challenging to do well. Beautifully composed with a careful attention to detail. Well done!
A wonderful dreamlike image that plays with the minds intuition of what is up and what is down. The boat appears to flying through the sky, leaving ripples in the air. The early autumn colour to the trees add a nice contrast to the blues and greens. The tiny buildings on the waters edge add an extra sense of scale and distance to the that of the boat. This photo would also work well as a long panorama containing only the boat and water!
