Ruined Facades

An excellent photo of urban decay, which combines the aesthetic interest for details, such as the damaged door and windows, an interesting color rendering, and a texture composed of the bricks of the wall and the floor. A well deserved award.

The photo of this façade in evident state of decay shows several interesting elements. The first thing that strikes the eye is undoubtedly the door, not only for the dark blue color, but also for its curious shape. Then we have the window, which lost shutters and glass, remains with a piece of mosquito net attached.

This is a very particular image of a large condominium building with a facade in an evident state of decay. What is striking are first of all the shapes, the windows of various sizes, and then the colors, which vary from a gray to a blue green. The photo is enriched by the presence of the two people and by the threads that cut it obliquely.

The image of this house in a state of decay, with its entrance path, gives me the impression of being taken from a cartoon or a film. Really interesting as a subject, well developed geometrically, and with colors in the right place.

I had no idea that this was one of the most photographed corners of London, but after this contest I realized it. Congratulations to the author who, despite the apparent simplicity of a shot on a wall, managed to find an image cut and an optimal color rendering.
