thank you very much for entering your image. I like the strong composition, and the contrast of colours. The shallow depth of field is effective at focussing us fully on the main character. The scene portrays a sense of calm and is a nice contrast with other more dramatic aspects of the industry. Congratulations on your top ten position.

Thank you for entering this image in my competition. It had everything that ai was looking for. I love fishing boats and will always be drawn to images of them. where I feel yours is particularly effective is not only a great composition with dramatic sky, great composition, good balance and of course the birds; but that you have a taken a sunrise, usually celebrated for its stunning colours, and in turning it black and white, has made an even stronger image. Congratulations on your top ten place.

A lovely image, thank you for entering it in my competition. You can almost feel the relief of the crew coming back to peace and calm of the harbour, and the promise of a beautiful day. A great composition and colouring sympathetically handled during post production. I would have loved to know where it was taken, I think it would have added to the narrative and increased the emotional connection. Congratulations on your first place.

I love the contrasts in this image. The traditional fishing boasts giving an old world feel against an ultra modern heavy industrial. The subdued colours of the background and the stormy clouds make the colours of the boats really pop. I would have really liked to see this when the tide was a little higher giving a bit more water around the boats. Thank you for entering and letting me see this image.

I really liked your image thank you for entering it in my competition. The colours are lovey and you can feel the sun rising. There is great detail in the image especially in the foreground and the amount of interest and detail in the figure makes an effective silhouette. I just wish I could have a top 11 rather than 10
