Shades of Orange - Not in Nature

This is such an intriguing photo, I have looked at it for a long time. The stranger with the unorthodox, literal walking 'stick', the framing and the lighting are all so perfect for this image. I honestly couldn't say if this is staged or just great timing, but it does look natural. Great image.

This is such a beautiful photograph. The child has a lovely, pure smile on her face, and the fact that she's not looking at the camera makes it seem more genuine, there's something to the side making her smile. The headscarf also speaks to her culture and of course is a beautiful shade of orange, perfect for this brief.

This photo made me smile as soon as I saw it! Very clever use of the colour for the brief, and such a sweet subject. Balloons are a difficult subject to set up for an image and it's been done so well here, with the shapes and colours fitting together so well.

The framing of this image is so clever and well-timed that I knew it had to be in my top 10. Although the key factor, the colour orange, is used on the blurred bikes, it's still used very well. Taking the photo while somebody was standing at the end of the lines of bikes was inspired.

This is such a beautiful group portrait, that can't have been easy to set up. The different shades of orange create a lot of interest for the viewer, as do the expressions on the boys' faces. The umbrellas, and other items add an extra layer of interest too, great choices.
