Lovely. A really simple idea executed well. Sometimes, patterns - natural or otherwise - are a way to examine the singular and here, by repetition and interesting framing, the boots take on a life of their own and, additionally as a collective. I like the uniformity but also seeing the tiny differences in how they've been placed on the display. Nicely done.

I love the sombre nature of this image; the idea that the dark clogs - often a motif in (Grimm's) fairy tales - have to be kept under lock and key lest they fly out and do awful things... That said, photographically, the frame has a nice composition and the uneven repetition of shape is pleasing. I could have done with slightly less space at the top, but this is a minor quibble. Well done.

**This contest is open to photographers ranked 1001+ in this week’s Leaderboard.** We spend a lot of time choosing our shoes, making sure they match our outfit, and taking care of them. But the poor shoe rarely takes centre stage in our photography, situated as they are so far away from the smiles and shining eyes we're usually pointing our cameras at. We'll change that here, for one contest at least, so let your imagination run free as you think of interesting ways to showcase shoes.
A simple but elegant ordering of disparate elements that additionally includes the wonderful yellow of the handrail which really contrasts with the grey of the London Underground. The shoes themselves are unremarkable except as paint splashes in a frame that utilises both strong horizontal lines and contrasting textures. Lovely.

I really do like the idea of this - the legs and heels emerging from (I presume) the sculptural excess of an expensive car. I like the angularity of the legs and the curve of the door moulding nicely picked out with the light - but the car tyre is just so distracting. Without it, we might conjecture whether the door is some kind of avant-garde dress for example - but better planning/framing might have worked to exclude it. Well seen however.
This is very close to achieving what the picture sets out to do: freezing the shoes whilst giving the impression of movement. Sometimes that's just about varying the shutter speed as a compromise between blur and sharpness but it might also sometimes be about panning and trying to 'follow' a particular object. Either way, this is close so keep pushing with the idea.
