Simply Red Flowers

Thanks for entering this shot to the contest. This matches the brief so well and also gives credit to the designer of flowers and honour to the ‘bees’ who ensure pollination. The soft petals of this flower with the centre stage of the flower and the camouflaged bee, really intrigued me as to how long did it take to get snapped?

Well done…I like the angle of this red rose…it would look awesome enlarged and on someone’s wall. You never know I may try to replicate it for one of my art projects but as always I reference the photographer. Great example of framing, light capture and elegance of this image.

When I said use ‘creativity’ you certainly went with this in your capture, Thank you for hitting the brief but showing in creation there is a lot of variety which we often dismiss. I love the overall composition of this image and the way the red petals feature a feminine appearance against the centre.

Congratulations on making number 10! A slightly different aspect of the number one position but still taking our eyes to the mesmerising cascades which make this flower and shot captivating. It clearly is within the brief and although the background is fading completes the succinct definition of a simple red flower.

I loved everything about this shot! Congratulations on receiving number one position. When I set the brief, I thought that this would be an easy contest, however to my surprise, it was quite hard to judge. Your capture singularly met my criteria, ‘Simply Red’! The choice to zoom in, catch a truly ‘red’ example and the cascading elements of the flower itself made my decision. This is truly a work of creation and art….we often neglect the eyesight and the mental prowess of our appreciation of creation!
