Congrats on the winning image!

Instantly stands out with the gorgeous heather in the front and the warmth of that building.

Great example of the rule of thirds with your leading lines and horizon too, creates a perfectly balanced image.

There's loads of snow shots in the competition but the one stands out.

Beautiful colour treatment, that sky is gorgeous!

The footsteps in the snow perfectly lead the viewers eye into the subject of the image and your use of the rule of thirds makes it a great shot.

Beautiful image!

Your treatment on this perfectly matches the subject and your framing of the subject is great, really well composed and so many different parts of the image to take in.

I'm a sucker for a slow shutter speed and think you got this one perfectly on the river, catches movement and draws the viewer through the frame well.

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 251 and 1000 in this week’s Leaderboard.** Big, iconic architecture might get all the headlines, but back in the real world the majority of buildings being built are much smaller, and the efforts of the architects and construction firms responsible are often unsung. But all their skills are in evidence when a building on a small scale successfully achieves everything required of its larger cousin, just within a reduced volume. And as questions of energy usage, land availability and construction costs become ever more important, smaller buildings seem to provide a lot of the answers. Acceptable images can be of any small building, from a house, to a folly, to public buildings and beyond, and can be buildings of any age.
