Snowdonia National Park

I am not hugely familiar with Snowdonia and have to admit one of the reasons I set up the competition was to get some inspiration.

I did see a number of shots from iconic locations and enjoyed all of these. The reasons this image caught my eye was the variation in light and superb control of the exposure and also that it was a location I had not seen before. Great work

In my opinion Glyder Fach is one of the most spectacular locations in the UK. This shot is beautifully composed and I really like those pastel shades in the sky.

It is also location not easily attained especially at either end of the day when a wild camp is normally needed so extra kudos for getting up here for sunset. Deserved winner out of a great selection.

This view of Tryfan using the brook in the foreground is arguably the most iconic image of Snowdonia. Unsurprisingly there were a few entries showing this scene and it was difficult to choose one.

I felt the framing here felt most natural and the motion of the water best in this one. Super landscape

Being shot outside of the classic landscape photography hours meant this shot had to rely on other elements to be impactable.

The view is wonderful and it is a very well crafted landscape image. Also the way that the viewer can follow the path back down the hillside on this sunny day tells the story of a wonderful day in the hills.

Dinorwic Quarry looks like a fantastic place to visit with the camera full of so many possibilities.

The different layers in this shot caught my eye and shooting with a telephoto allows the viewer to pick out details on each level. Fascinating shot to gaze at and a great title, deserved top 10 placing.
