There were many animal images entered, mainly eagles and elephants, so it was refreshing to see a different species. By filling the frame, the viewer is clearly able to see the level of detail. I like the angle of the shot and the use of lighting - the colours appear to be natural. A good ear!

There were many images of elephants entered as you can imagine, but this one has captured a moment - a baby elephant learning how to use its trunk! By keeping it simple, with no distracting background, the viewers’ attention is solely on the animal.
