Great contest!

This is a really different image. You have not only thought outside the box but made it work really well. The dazzling red eyes of the spider show really well. You can see the web well too. The whole image is well composed and pin sharp. I really like the background too. A brilliant capture, well done.

This is such a great image. I really like how you have shot through the web. It gives you a real sense of going into the spiders lair. The spider is still exceptionally sharp. I like the composition of the image as well. A great image so well done.

How you have chosen to shoot this image in the dull smoky grey colour is awesome. Instead of burying the spider in the image you have brought it out really well. You have managed the colours and tones of your image brilliantly. The image is technically great in every way and is 100% pin sharp. A really very nice image, and worthy winner, congratulations.

Wow, this spider has caught a large meal. Despite the larger size of the damsel/dragon fly you can still clearly see the battered remains of the spiders web. The composition of your image is brilliant. The whole image is pin sharp and the background doesn't distract you at all. A very nice image, well done.

For this contest I am looking for your colour photos that show a spider in its web. You can show any species of spider as long as you can clearly see the spider is in its web. You could also photograph the spider's prey as well as the spider in its web. Please only enter colour images so no toned or black and white photos please.

You're not wrong about the size being big. I would hate to find this spider anywhere. You have chosen a very unusual angle and WOW it's worked. You have helped make the spider come across larger by composing it the way you have. I like how you have shot it in the street and gone outside as it makes a change from the usual web shot. A very nice and well captured image, well done.

Though I don't really understand this image I really like it. The water drops are really nice along with your composition. The whole image is pin sharp as well. Another unusual image that works exceptionally well, so very well done.
