Stripes

Although I really like this picture, it's not on my top ten list. The reason is that I see curves and lines and not stripes. Both the colors of the image, the soft background and the shape of the building help to emphasize this. But a very good composition with the woman in the foreground. Thank you for participating :-)

There have been many great pictures of zebras added, so it has been very difficult to pick one to my top ten list. The choice has fallen on this picture, as I think it is the one that suits the theme best because of the white wall in the foreground as contrast to the black background. First thank you to all of you who have added pictures. It's the first time ever that I've been a judge in a contest. I am impressed with the level and it has been very difficult to choose my top ten. But number 1 has always been with me. This image is the judge's number one. It could have been cover picture for this contest. Very eyecatching and charming with hand-painted stripes in bright colors and with a fine symmetry only broken by the padlocks and their fine shadows. All evidence of a photographer with an eye for small details. Congratulations on the win and thanks for your participation :-)

Perhaps this contest's most elegant and sophisticated image. An almost floating composition with narrow white stripes. The sophisticated look is further emphasized by the black background and the luminous golden square. Very well done. Congratulations on a top ten ranking and thank you for participating :-)

A very strong picture that touched me a lot. That's why I do not think of stripes when I look at it. and why it not is on my top ten list. It is the woman's fear that fills the most. In spite of the woman's fear it is a beautiful picture with a nice composition, subdued colors and great light. Thank you for joining :-)
