Summer Flowers (in colour)

With so many gorgeous entries to Summer Flowers, it was this beautiful dahlia arrangement that kept drawing me back. The colors, lighting and side views of the flowers made it a stand out in an amazing field. Congratulations on First Place!

What says summer better than a field of bright sunflowers! There were many sunflower entries but this one caught my eye with its highlight of the front flower, the amazing field behind it and the beautiful colors. Well done, and congratulations on 4th Place in Summer Flowers!

Some of my favorite summer flowers are water lilies and this one is perfect. The bloom stands out from the darker background and is framed by the rule of thirds very well. The exposure is not recorded but it works so well with lily sharp against its soft surroundings. Definitely frame worthy. Congratulations on 3rd Place in Summer Flowers!

Lavender fields are a wonderful summer highlight and I love this closer look at lavender blooms. Highlighted agains a contrasting background along with sharp front blooms, it makes for an inviting photo. Wonderful shot, and congratulations on 5th Place in Summer Flowers!
