That gorgeous Milky Way photo

I used to frequent this spot when I lived in California so I know it well. I also know how difficult it can be to obtain a shot like this and I have a lot of appreciation for it because of that. I think the Milky Way and the forground play so well together and your post-production work is great, not too much, not too little, just right!

There is a lot to like here. This is a very balanced photo with a good handle of compositional elements that complement the Milky Way without competing with it.

The light painting is perfect as many light painted images tend to be a little on the heavy side., this one is great. I like that the arch is lit from the other side adding a sense of mystery of what could be there to the final piece.

This is great. I like the use of the arches acting like compartments for the night sky. I appreciate the light painting here as that can be difficult to balance with the background. It all flows really well compositionally. My eye moves and out and all throughout the piece, it is rather interactive for the viewer.
