The Colour Yellow

Almost like an abstract painting. Beautiful shades of yellow in light and shadow, beautiful shapes and a wonderful texture, a picture that has it all. My compliment and congratulations on a place as number three in my top ten :-)

Once again it has been a pleasure to be a judge in a competition with so many beautiful photos submitted. Thanks to all participants. I have always been full of admiration for the works of nature, and these leaves from the gingko tree are no exception. Graceful shapes, beautiful texture and delicate autumn yellow shades on a black background. My big compliment to the author of this wonderful picture and congratulations on a place as number one in my top ten :-)

A minimalist approach to the subject was also one of the aspects that I mentioned would be rewarded in this competition. That is why this picture ends up at number three in my top ten. It can hardly be made simpler. A yellow wall with some peeling and a ventilation grill. The eye-catching yellow wall color is in fine contrast to the gray peeling and the ventilation grille supplements the image with a fine geometric pattern. The beautiful texture of the image must also be highlighted. My compliments and congratulations :-)

Among the many submitted pictures of yellow cars, it was "Eye of the beetle" that I found worthy of a place in my top ten. An excellent abstract composition with a great mood due to the water drops. My compliments and congratulations :-)
