This is what the golden hour is all about pouring liquid gold all over the scene! Magical light and the different layers work very well with the middle layer a touch brighter to set off the zebra. It might be worth to add a very subtle vignette. Personally I'd have preferred to give the animal more space to the right, room to wander. Other then that great image.
You've captured this fritillary with tenderness and consideration. The bokeh is delicious, the colours subtle and the DOF spot on so that one's attention is drawn to the minute details of the upper and important half of the flower. I also think that this perspective works very well for close ups of flowers.
A most beautiful portrait of an owl which sits perfectly in the frame. I love the glowing background with the branch adding a sense of depth and the two flowers leaning towards the animal thus balancing the image. Perfect DOF and equally perfect colour management. If only she had looked right back at you - maybe next time. :)

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 1 and 250 in this week’s Leaderboard.** The Golden Hour, that hallowed time just after sunrise, and just before sunset when the low sun turns everything it touches to gold. Photographers are required to drop everything except their cameras, head outdoors, and get shooting. For the super keen, the morning golden hour has the added benefit of dew on the grass, and morning mists. For the more civilised approach, a sunny afternoon outdoors can deliver an unfolding and deepening golden hour, before the head back home as the last remnants of the day disappear. Traditionally the golden hour may be most associated with landscapes, but can be a great time to shoot many other subjects as well.
