The Golden Hour

What's not to love about poppies in among golden, swaying grasses! A beautiful capture with just the right amount of sharpness creating a dreamy background and a nicely blurred foreground. I like the natural colours and feel. If you choose the right time magic will happen.

Beautiful portrait of the cat with soft light and subtle colours. It sits nicely within the frame and the shallow DOF creates a gorgeously creamy bokeh. The perspective makes all the difference, so well done for getting down on your belly. If it were my image I'd boost the contrast very slightly and make it a tiny bit warmer, just a touch.

That's what my agency calls the perfect imperfect! The highlights may have gone through the ceiling but the image is full of emotion, happiness, spontaneity and warmth. It's not perfection and technical skills that touch the heart but the special way the photographer sees the world.

A very creative, dynamic image with the shadow line leading the eye through the scene. The child is perfectly placed on the edge of the shadow, the silhouette being nice and sharp evoking a paper cutting. I'd be tempted to darken the shadow a small bit.
