Beautiful portrait of the cat with soft light and subtle colours. It sits nicely within the frame and the shallow DOF creates a gorgeously creamy bokeh. The perspective makes all the difference, so well done for getting down on your belly. If it were my image I'd boost the contrast very slightly and make it a tiny bit warmer, just a touch.

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 251 and 1000 in this week’s Leaderboard.** The Golden Hour, that hallowed time just after sunrise, and just before sunset when the low sun turns everything it touches to gold. Photographers are required to drop everything except their cameras, head outdoors, and get shooting. For the super keen, the morning golden hour has the added benefit of dew on the grass, and morning mists. For the more civilised approach, a sunny afternoon outdoors can deliver an unfolding and deepening golden hour, before the head back home as the last remnants of the day disappear. Traditionally the golden hour may be most associated with landscapes, but can be a great time to shoot many other subjects as well.
