what a great image not the classic colour of the highland breed. For me this is a great shot that shows how the breed can cope with the very harsh winters. The only reason this did not win for me was the branch in the top left hand corner which is very distracting, just my view a crop to take it away or clone it out. Thank you for entering

Mud Mud glorious mud. great to see a shot of the breed not just in a field or in the snow but hoof deep in mud. The photographer has captured the detail of the cows face and also the huge horns it is carrying around. Thank you for entering

What a great High key B&W image of the Highland cow. The Photographer has captured the detail of the cows hair and what could be percieved as a menacing look even though they are actually a docile breed. Thank you for entering.

This photographer went for a totally unique view of the highland breed and captured a detailed shot. the cow eating the grass with its wet tongue and lips and the flies hanging around its nose. great detail captured. thank you for entering

this for me was the best calf shot of the highland breed in the challenge. The photographer has captured the cuteness of the young calf looking straight at the lens, Its softens of its fur and the detail in its face. Thank you for entering
