The solitude of one

The full expanse of this dry vista gives a feeling of solitude. The lone figure surveying the scene is well positioned. His pose with his hands on his hips forms a nice shadow and I like the single set of footprints that took him to his vantage point. The sand dune in the foreground has a very appealing sensual form with a mix of textured lines created by the wind. The wide aspect ratio adds to the vastness of the landscape.
