Simple yet effective is that Iconic Stormtrooper - here seems lost in his own thoughts - the strong story of the elements that surround, him create s a very powerful capture and the blend of real coastline and waves blend brilliantly to create the perfect macro world of the action figure A brilliant art shot well executed - almost like a treatment shot fro one of the films Congratulations Tarquin Shaw-Young FEAA

We had a number of brilliant diaramas submitted but what I loved here is the black and white image really makes everything look like a period image of the time which is what a model maker hopes to achieve as an endgame - The forward focus of the soldier at the gates in reflection - maybe battle weary and the bustle behind him - Lovely well poised capture Congratulations on second place Tarquin Shaw-Young FEAA

The 1971 Britains Deetail Range have always been one of my favourites - despite their simple en masse paint they always photograph beautifully - One of my principal areas of photography uses many of my collections in similar settings - The Infamous Custer making his last stand - beautifully captured with the focus on him and his loyal troops fighting off Big Horn - whilst only a handful of figures they give a sense of the larger battle Great stuff Congratulations Tarquin Shaw-Young FEAA

As a lifelong collector of Toy Soldiers - nothing more sums up the spirit of these macro warriors than the artwork of the box and the iconic stance if the Airfix Para and his radio signaller -in 1:32 scale It is a crisp focus on the soldiers but a nod to their journey to the battlefield with the infamous Airfix design and coloured cardboard box - Simple but very effective shot - Instant field promotion! Congratulations on first place Tarquin Shaw-Young FEAA

Was really intrigued by this shot and saw another with a lone warrior in another - Some much detail here - unsure of the scale - it looks 54mm but very realistic, and lots of great story telling in this diorama - The lighting seems very natural and some great shadows of the figures give realism and life to the image Congratulations Tarquin Shaw-Young FEAA

There has always been a fascination in the macro world of miniature dioramas and their photography and in this contest I would love to see your photographs of action figures and toy soldiers in action in any setting or location. Images can show a single figure, or figures displayed in a model diorama of any era. Outside shots often create the best lighting effects, so get creative and create your miniature battlefields. Images of toy soldiers or any other action figures are acceptable.
