This contest is for your triptych images. A triptych is created by combining three individual photographs to present together in one image. The three individual photographs making up the triptych will often be separated by some type of border or frame, but please avoid just dividing one single photo by overlaying it with a three-piece frame. To create impact with your triptych, try to select photos which are in some way connected, such as different details of one object, similar subjects, colours or shapes etc. Please remember a triptych is formed by presenting three photographs together in one image. I look forward to seeing your entries.
A strong set of three individual creative action shots, presented together in combination for an image full of impact. Superb black and white conversion with bold contrasts between the blacks and white, but the whites/ highlights have been well controlled to avoid over-exposure. Being picky, I may have been tempted to rotate the position of the gymnast in the left-hand frame a little, so her hands are pointing closer to the top right corner of her frame to be a little more diagonal across the frame. That is a minor adjustment however, as this is an extremely well captured and well presented triptych image. Well done on your top ten placing.
As individual images, I am not too keen on the purple colour toning used here, but when the imges have been presented as a threesome within the tyitych frame, a set of three purple-toned allium shots becomes a lovely artistic and creative image. The choice of views is good, with an overall shot of the bloom centrally placed, with differing detail shots placed alongside. Neatly presented and very pleasing on the eye. Great work, well done on your top ten placing.
This is just the sort of entry I was hoping to see in this triptych contest, where the individual images work seamlessly together to create a beautiful image. This is not a triptych created by sticking together three loosely connected individual photos, but rather three carefully selected visions of one subject, expertly brought together to create a piece of artwork far greater than the sum of its parts. The processing technique used suits the subject perfectly, gentle, delicate and painterly. The colours are gorgeous, with just soft hints of creamy greys and muted pink. A gorgeous triptych, congratulations on your winning image.
A simple, abstract subject, but such is the precision and care that has been taken with the composition of the triptych, it all works very well. It really does make a difference to have accurately aligned the corrugations, and the diagonal bar across the central image helps break things up a little for added interest. Focus on the subject looks pin sharp, and the contrasting colours work well together for a lovely, colourful triptych abstract. Neat, orderly and extremely well constructed, well done on your top ten placing.
This is a super example of things to consider when creating a great triptych image: differing aspects of the same subject, three images which work better together rather than individually, identical processing style across all three shots, and precise arrangement of the photographs on a clean, unobtrusive background. I love the overall feel of these images, the gently muted colour palette and the creative processing style contribute to a fabulous overall tryptich. Love it! Congratulations on your second place finish.

This is a set of well captured photographs which all work together to produce a triptych which I think has an impact greater than each constituent image, which I believe is the whole purpose of a triptych. The subject choice is great, as we get to see different aspects of the same object; small parts which help describe the whole. Another factor contributing to the success of this triptych overall is that each shot looks to have been captured with a similar focal length, depth of field, lighting etc, and the processing style is the same throughout. The images have been precisely presented within the outer frame, which is well proportioned and does not compete with the images for attention. Great work, well done on your top ten placing.
Individually, each of these images could appear a little lacking interest and a strong focal point, but when presented together in a triptych panel, there is great visual impact. A good selection of abstract rock textures and patterns, similar enough to be harmonious and work together, different enough for variety and interest. Well balanced exposures mean neither shot stands out over another, and some nicely complementary colours giving an overall effect which is very pleasing on the eye. Accurately presented within the clean frame, well done on your top ten placing.
The title of this image, "more than a pear", is rather apt, as this image is more than three still-life photographs of pears. Each individual shot has been very well captured, with lovely diffuse lighting, strong conposition and natural colouring. Then, each image comes together with the others to produce a superbly presented panel of images. Precisely joined using a frame/background which does not compete for attention with the photographs. Fabulous image, congratulations on your third place finish.
This triptych caught my eye as soon as I saw it. Each image is similar, but different enough to be full of interest as the eye explores each of the three shots. I love the colouring across all images, with the contrasting dark pinks and greens, held together by the softer creamy shade of the grasses. I am undecided whether the triptych may have worked even better if all shots had displayd the same degree of motion blur, but this is still a super composition. Well done on your top ten placing.
