Absolutely love this!!! The mantis' pose is completely out of this world! How long did you have to wait patiently for this pose? Some kind of mantis whisperer! With regard to two colours - bang on brief & all shades/tones of greens & yellows too. Beautifully done. There is one thing which prevents a top ten aware for this image I'm afraid to say - it's the lack of sharpness. This kind of image should be pin sharp (for me). Can see your settings & I wonder if you'd achieve better sharpness by increasing shutter speed to circa 1/300-1/400 for a focal length of 100mm plus opening the aperture a little or increasing the ISO to compensate. Well done though! Looking forward to seeing more of your work!
Super congratulations of the winning image. Stunning Image bang on brief of two colours. Two very spectacular colours too reflected throughout the image. It's a joy to look at & the depth of field gives a very nice feeling of perspective here pleasurable to the eyes. This could easily become a print of greeting card. Congratulations & very well done!

Such a beautiful Image! Love the pose of the bee. The blur of the backdrop accentuates the subject really nicely & the colour palette is stunning. One thing prevents this image from going higher - it's the focus. Unfortunately the focus is on the bee's front arm. Shoiukd really be on the eye. Quite tricky focussing on tiny things. Great effort though!
Absolutely stunning image. Love the subjects the most. Perfect 'in action' telling the story of the hawk hunting. Must have been very patient to catch this! Colour palette also spectacularly flawless. One aspect which prevents a higher score is the sharpness which this kind of image really demands. Can see your camera gear & it's probably the case that a really sharp image (in this kind of image) isn't possible with the rebel & associated lens - rather than photographer skill. Your skill is clearly there. Super looking forward to more of your work!!
Absolutely stunning image. Love the subject & the position of the grass creating lines in the image. Must have been very patient to catch this! Colour palette also spectacularly flawless. This is so beautiful. The cow's expression is lovely & so great as stopped chewing with the grass to check you out. There's a few aspects which could do with a bit of improvement upwards for a higher score. Increase sharpness of image. For me a little more negative space to the right & top. Bit of editing - tidy the fur a little. Beautiful image though!
What an amazing image. You probably already know it - the sharpness isn't there I'mafraid to say. Subjects gotta be sharp in this image. If subjects were sharp this image would be in the running for the top spot. The position & expressions of the subjects are absolutely perfect. Please do send us another one!

This is a beautiful image & bang on brief. Creatively simplistic & I believe simplicity is highly underrated. Lighting lovely on the petals & dish with a rembrandt style very communicative. Something very warm about about this image too - could see it being a print in home. Very beautiful! Super well done!
This is stunning!! Very visually appealing. The light/dark balance is beautiful & envokes all sorts of parallels & stories. The competition in this particular category was high! So, critique had to high to whittle down to a top ten. If a few small things were fixed - you would have stood a very good chance of being in the top ten. The small things to fix (in edit) were the light flecks on the beige side ...& a few flecks on the green side. I felt that the green side was close to perfect & the flecks created a sense of imbalance & distraction. Beautiful image though!!
