Focused entirely on walls and corners, this image is easily the best representation of 'Where Walls Meet'. The low angle the photo was shot at gifts it with a unique look and perfectly enhances the building's shapes, making corners the very focus of this capture. The viewer's eye runs from the bottom of the frame to the pleasantly smooth surface of the charcoal building, all the way to the suggestive sky above. The editing is very well executed, with the greys being dark enough to add drama and stand out against the sky, and the contrast adding depth and reflection in the right places without causing the sky to burn out. This is a beautiful capture that certainly deserves first place. Well done!
This abstract urban shot features mesmerising lines and bright colours that immediately catch the viewer's eye. The colours contrast between the pinks & reds of the walls and the black of the shadows & surroundings is appealing and visually very satisfying. The deep shadows that define the building's corners emphasise its shapes, adding the right amount of drama to the image. The contrast has been pushed far enough to boost depth and saturation to a point that adds to the abstract feel of the image without being too much, a fine balance that's certainly not easy to find. A great capture, well done!
This beautiful image features corners in a way that stands out from the vast majority of other entries, and it immediately caught my eye. I thoroughly enjoy the amount of intricate details in this shot: from stone texture, to the figures in the wall nooks, to the golden details speckled across the red walls. The viewer's eye is taken on a journey, but never loses sight of the main two subjects in the centre of the frame. Lastly, the balanced exposure reveals all the detail without disturbing the atmosphere of candle-lit mystery and intimacy of the temple. Well done on capturing such a beautiful and one-of-a-kind image that matches the contest theme so perfectly!

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 251 and 1000 in this week’s Leaderboard.** This is probably an exploration of the humble corner, but maybe there are other ways in which walls meet? Do they meet cleanly and amicably, and are just built to be together, or is something a little more jarring going on? And what happens on the insides and outsides of corners? If we were naughty we might have been put in one, but it’s less obvious what to do with the outside of a corner, except maybe peer around it and look what’s round the other side.
