This is wonderful and takes the viewer back to the olden days of horse power. I can Just remember my father doing this when we lived on the Estate of the local lordship. The image is very well captured as the farmer work's the team of four shire horses which is pulling the plough . The colour is nicely balanced in the image while the focus good I would have liked to see this in B&W has I think it may have worked better as a B&W image. The white balance is a little Blown which is seen on the flanks of the white horses and maybe should have take it back a stop or so.
This is another great image taken from a polo match capturing motion. the riders battling it out to win or score is very well captured. The speed of the riders shows great skill that is capture nicely in the overall image has the chase the loose ball. I like the fact that they have room on the left they are riding into so the photographer had made good use of the rule of thirds. The background is burred nicely with nothing to distract the viewer looking at the image.. well done a nicely captured image
This image is a cracker, the capture of Motion, the skill of the rider is brilliancy captured and worthy of 1st place in this competition I like the burred background but what does it for me is the focus the focus is pin sharp. Clearly taken at a rodeo somewhere the photographer has a great view point of the action. The colour is well balanced even down to the colouration in tones on the horse... Super capture well done and thanks for entering this super image in my competition

I would like to see images taken of horses at work. The contest is open to images of any horse, just has long as it is a working horse. It could be a photo of police officers doing crowd control while at an event, or maybe you have visited a vintage farm holding special horse days, or a vintage ploughing competition which are sometimes held in the autumn. No other animals, only images of horses, and they must be working. Please no images of cruelty - I do not which to see images of horses pulling carts which are clearly overloaded.
