Yellow

A wonderful macro. Dragonflies are a great subject and you have done the subject justice here for sure. Its not an easy task to capture a live moving insect but I can see into this guy's eyes and I love the detail on the wings. A kind of magical creature for me. Love how his little legs are holding the twig. The camera captures so much with macro. Fab job!

Look at that beak!! And the eye! And the tongue. What a brilliant capture. Im just glad I'm not a small critter on the ground! The image is beautifully sharp and the focus on the head and beak is very effective at conveying the nature of the bird. I love it.

Extremely effective use of symmetry here . I had to check whether it was an artificially generated reflection at first, but its clearly two different vehicles! The effects are great and convey the sense of movement, so you have it all going on ...colour, movement and symmetry! Nice work!!

Hey ho! What a stunning macro! I am guessing a lot of work went into that capture. Its so clear and sharp throughout. I can almost count the pollen grains on that little guy! The yellow on black is a major added bonus. Its a great one for sue!

As soon as I saw this image it was the winner for me. Its absolutely stunning in impact. The cloud of yellow on the black background would have impact in itself, but the use of multiple exposure to depict movement is wonderful. The contrast between the sharpness and sheen of the dancer's skirt and the blurring really brings her alive. Great job!

Look at that feather! Its a stunner! Simple but really effective image for me. Sharp and standing out so clearly against the black background. I like that you did not crop or tidy the ragged white bits at the bottom of the feather. Looks so authentic.

Woah! Straight from a fairytale! Is there a princess in the tower? Waiting for a prince to come across the golden lake to rescue her from a dragon? Not sure how you captured or created this image but its certainly very striking. I actually visited Lake Bled once but my images of the lake were nothing like this one !!!

Oh what a gorgeous protrait! The blue eyes looking straight at us, the glimpse of black curling hair, the genius of the yellow shawl and how it is positioned.. The background works so well with the yellow. I love it!!

I could not put all the great images in the top 10 and competition was very tough but I just love your image.

I dont know how you did this but its a magnificent image. The black background really makes the jellyfish stand out. The white part I believe is called 'oral arms' and it looks like lace! Tentacles are so clear and sharp. The main yellow part of the creature is translucent and the texture of its body is very well captured. Fantastic job!

The three horizontal elements work fabulously together here for me.. I am there in the middle of that storm. The light is fantastic. You managed to capture the lightening. The sky is truly apocalyptic. Over that wonderful field of yellow flowers is the perfect place to capture that sky. I think the dark green grass in front helps put balance in the image, and I love all of it.
