Stunning image . Before reading the notes on the photo. I immediately thought of mental illness. You have captured the the complete concept...alone, unknown yet beauty all around, which cannot be seen or enjoyed in the eternal fog that is mental illness... Well done.
Excellent photo. Rinks are difficult places to get a good image. Being a goalie is alienating enough but to come off last from the ice and with a black eye. Well I am Canadian so i get it. Great image.
The very definition of Alienation in modern culture. Completely connected, but really alone in the presence of others. The image is sound on a technical level but perfectly captures the theme. Technology is here to stay, and kids will keep scrolling
This image not only defines the theme but is beautifully balanced, Phone cameras have so many advantages with this type of capture. they are easy and fast and discrete to use. and obviously take fine captures. I like the colour and movement in the sky
The Image is certainly relevant to the theme. There is no better Poster Icon of Alienation than Princes Di in Life and in Death. Obviously an older image. Perhaps snapped at a Royal function, but relevant today and to the Contest. A great time to be this close and with a camera.
I skimmed over this twice before I figured out the import of this photo. Albino children, I have read, still are hunted for body parts in potions ...Really good photo capturing the concern and care in real time. Certainly a timely photo of alienation.
Of all the photos of people sitting alone this one got my attention. The edit and subject mater really capture alienation. A very good image. I like the back light and the monotone yet good detail to the image. Well done
