Amusing and Unusual Head Coverings

Congratulations on winning this Contest with your very original and happy photo. I was hoping for that one image that would make me laugh instantly and this one did just that. The composition is clear, effective and well balanced, without looking staged. A true joy to look at.

The strange combination of an official or royal guard with a pumpkin head works wonderfully well. I love the way he is looking perfectly bored, as if it is a day like all other days. Just the kind of image I was hoping to see in this contest.

This very intense portrait focuses in particular on the eyes and the unusual head covering. Like a leading line, rushing to the eyes it holds an energy that makes the image come alive. A well-crafted and amazing photo you can’t get out of your mind.

Completely over the top and way out of reality, this image stood out for me in between the many steampunk portraits entered in this contest. The cropping is a bit tight at the bottom, I would have liked more body but still I love this image, well done.

Intriguing drama, beauty and horror, all at the same time. You show elegance in such a strange and surrealistic way by making the model look completely relaxed and natural, as if she doesn’t even notice the octopus is covering her head, wonderful work.
