Anything Christmas

Okay so I debated over this being in first place, I was back and forth with it mainlybecause I had selected it as the contest promo image. I was a little subjective with it being just familiar rather than an outstanding image. I obviously fared on the side of outstanding image. I love the conceptual meaning hear and loved the fact that it is in black and white. My only nitpicking is the blown out stain glass windows, I think I would have liked a little more definition. Great job well done.

Very magical shot which carries warmth and festive feelings. It is a beautifully dressed tree with an assortment of decorations which I am guessing have lots of sentimental value. If like us we have christmas decorations from places we have visited, little things the children made when they were young, all mixed in with traditional festive decs. The image sold itself to me because of the little decs, I see a dinosaur and a little house amongst other personal things. It was those personal touches that made this stand out from all the other Christmas tree images. Beautiful, well done.

I suspected this as Dartmoor with the flat hills in the background. Having bred Dartmoor ponies I am familiar with the area around Princetown where this was taken. I love colour palette here very cold but a hint of warmth,. Very much a Christmas card festive image, I think the white frame works well as I am not usually a fan. Well done.
