Usually when I see models photographed the background is plain so that is doesn't distract from the main subject. This background certainly isn't plain but instead provides a wonderful context for this both colorful and atmospheric shot. Perhaps the background alone, if shot right, could make for an interesting image. I love the tonal contrast between the red top and the green foliage, but also the combination of blue moon beams and orange lantern light. Beautiful.
I love this image. Its frosty, just a little bit misty and definitely rather spooky. The wooden boundary to the path enhances the already strong leading line. I think the remaining few copper leaves add an interesting touch of colour. I'd been interested to see what the scene looks like with a few more leaves remaining.

When I first saw this image I wondered whether it was a Photoshop composite. Even if it had been it would still have been a great image. To be able to capture this composition, with this lighting, in this fog must have felt like a true blessing. I love the subtle grey/brown tones and the way the Egret is ascending is magical.

Some photographs seam have the ability to transport the viewer to the location of the shoot. Sometimes the image stimulates our senses so powerfully we can almost smell the location. Snow scenes can give us the chills, heights can trigger vertigo and almost any location has the ability trigger memories if we've been there ourselves. Show us your most powerful, dramatic and emotionally charged atmospheric shots.
