Atmospheric Portraiture

Now this is a man with some stories to tell. You have composed the whole frame really nicely. The barge behind suggests he lives on the canal. Maybe shooting at around f5.6 would have allowed a bit more information in the background whilst keeping it still enough out of focus that it doesn't distract too much. A lovely portrait full of character.

A real character portrait. Nicely photographed through a window (well done on keeping just a little of the window frame in shot) which adds a great extra dimension to the picture. The various props on the table also help to build a story around character

An interesting portrait which I kept coming back to. I love her intense stare, messy hair and pose which all go so well with the distressed chair. A really interesting portrait. Maybe if it were shot in a messy artists' studio it would give an added dimension to the portrait?
