Beautiful Piers

Another photo I thought had an almost 3D effect and I felt you could reach out and touch the pier. I also enjoy the rough texture of the wood against the smooth glass like feel of the water and the end of the pier lining up with the horizon.

Probably one of the most photographed piers to date, this photo really stood out for the lines and the lovely pastel colours which contrasted with the blackened burnt skeleton of the old west pier. Loved it (yes - I wish I had taken it!)

Great angle and detail. I could not help but look at the photo a few times. The movement of the cloud and the smooth surface of the water draw your eyes to the structure, the curve and all its detail.

I enjoy the lines in the shot drawing your eyes down the walkway to the lifeboat house at the end. Nothing in the foreground or background to divert your attention from the journey. I can almost hear the sounds as lifeguards running to the boathouse to launch a rescue mission.

As I looked at this picture, I felt I could almost walk out onto the pier, the colour; the almost 3D effect gives it a very real feel. It really captured me, another great pier photo and thank you for adding to my contest.

I really enjoyed this photo – the pier has collapse yet a boat is still tied up. The sunset colours reflecting over the water work well to highlight the structures . The silky glass surface of the water adds to the relaxed feeling I get from this photo.

Great colours, I assume lots of vibrancy in post edit but I loved the colours and warmth of this photo. My thoughts of sitting at the end of the pier with a cocktail reminds me of hot summer days and holidays.
