Oh yes! We all know that feeling. This made me laugh and instantly (no pun intended), placed it high in my markings. The top down view works well of an everyday object, but it's the pareidolia; the 'face', that makes it stand out. Technically, it's faultless; sharp and with detail in the highlights. The white background only serves to emphasise the main subject. Well done on getting into my Top Ten!
I love circles and I love black and white, so this ticked all the boxes for me and was very close to my Top Ten. The exposure and processing has been handled perfectly; true black and true white with several tones in between. The icing on the cake is the texture which you can almost feel. Well done, excellent work.
This was a difficult challenge to judge, there were so many great entries, but this is my winner. What looks to be at first glance an abstract graphic of geometric shapes, becomes a wonderful look-down view on a sports court with human figures having fun. The shadows are at the perfect angle and length to see exactly what's going on at ground level and the positioning of the drone above is dead centre so that the circles are perfectly formed. Finally, the simple colours complete a wonderful and very pleasing shot that deservedly takes top spot. Well done and thanks for entering my challenge.
There were many entries of the Selfridges building, but this was the best one for me. It's front to back sharp and the red treatment works really well, lifting it above the rest. The curve of the roof is beautifully contrasted against the sky. Finally, you've handled the highlights very well indeed; there's not a single area that grabs my attention for criticism and the whole is a very pleasing flow of circles everywhere. Well done for making my Top Ten.

I know just how hard these images are to execute and capture, but this water drop shot is right up there with the best. The main circle is pin sharp and 'balances' perfectly on that tiny pillar of liquid. The simple dual colours compliment each other perfectly and the curve in the lower frame provides a strong base for the overall image. Well done, it deserves to be high in my Top Ten.

This is a well observed shot that caught my eye because of its depth. An unusual almost abstract photograph at first glance, it opens up into something greater and more captivating with leading lines taking us to the distant black circle. The strong diagonals on the right contrast with the window and bring our eye back to the main subject. Great title too, well done!
There were lots of entries of the wonderful Selfridges building but this was one of the standout ones for me and close to my Top Ten. The monotone palette and dark background work well to emphasis the circles, but it's the addition of the figures for scale and human interest that makes it that little bit different from the usual shot. Well done on your Highly Commended award.
