I loved this as soon as I saw it! A splash of red and silver poking out of a sea of grey. The torn shreds of the cover frame the subject nicely and catch the light. The composition is such that the main subject has the right amount of plain grey to make it pop out.. The photographer's reflection is caught in the bumper and it might have been good to just step back and avoid that. I love the gold headlamp framed by the black background. The use of negative space in the bottom left of the frame is very effective. The lettering on the glass is sharp and beautiful. This image arrived well into the competition and I put it straight into the top ten. It is fabulous composition in my view, with the oval shape so well-placed and framed. The depth, shapes and patterns within the car headlight are striking, especially with the rain on the surface.
