Close-Up Railway Steam Locomotives

WOW, this image packs a punch. The steam coming from the locomotive has given this image depth and impact. The more unusual and less photographed area of the locomotive caught my eye. The composition is lovely and you have managed to capture it pin sharp and with superb detail too. A very nice image, well done.

I really like how you have shot this image with the lighter silver rods of the locomotive to the bottom. They keep you in the image and lead you nicely and around it. Despite this being a darker section of the locomotive you have captured a lot of detail. With the image being in black and white you have used this darkness to your advantage to add impact.
