See more contest details
I would like to see your photos of all types of colourful architecture. This could include getting a close-up view of particular architectural details or a high level view of city cityscrapers. The choice is yours and is open to your interpretation. The only requirement is that the architecture must be colourful. Small amounts of black and white may be included in the shot, but the image must be dominated by colour. As usual in my contests creativity will be rewarded.
Firstly, thank you for entering my challenge. The mustard yellow suits the retro grunge effect of the image. The colour is most appealing as it tends to stand out against the darker shadows and walls of the interior. The flower boxes also tend to add as a point of interest- they are, however, subtle in nature so as not to draw one's attention away from the main feature- that of the walls and their warm yellow glow. Congrats and well done!
Firstly, thank you for entering my challenge. The effective usage of lines, colour and symmetry work well in this image. The concept of less is more is also proven once again. The shadows on the right also tend to act as a point of interest but does not, however, distract from the main focus- that of the brilliant usage of colour. Congrats and well done!.
