This reminds me of those childhood sci-fi book covers by Chris Foss and the Dune books of Frank Herbert. A wonderful fantasy image which has been blended so well. The comments by the author really helped here as the explanation of the three separate images used just held my interest for even longer. Congratulations on reaching my 3rd place in such a tricky competition.

This was a tough competition by its very nature of creativity and processing skill. There is a fine line also between complexity of execution and simplicity of visual style. If you excuse the pun this is a timeless image in style and emotional calmness. The top lit figure and gradual falloff of light to the wooden floor where the remnants of a broken clock rest really enhances the rule of thirds and the tonality blends wonderfully throughout. Congratulations on my vote for first place.

A seemingly simple idea can often produce the best results. Many times I have seen images of kingfishers sitting on "No Fishing" signs that have become a cliché but this takes the idea a step further and produces a new surreal concept in a similar vein. Helped also by the magnificence of the kingfisher itself in all its glory as one of the best birds in nature. Nicely blended and textured to give this illustrative feel makes this a favourite. Congratulations on a top 10 place.

This was my favourite of the multiple exposure entries of which there were many and it should do extremely well in a multiple exposure competition. The difference in producing a composite image and a multiple frame image may not at first be clear but for me the difference is the production of something new from the combined images. That said, this is brilliant and deserves a commendation.

I truly admire the work of those who have mastered the techniques of composite images that create something new and inspiring. By definition a composite image is an image that is made from the combination of multiple images merged into a single plane. The steps can be simple or complex depending on what the photographer is trying to accomplish. Images can be of any subject as creativity is what I am looking for here. They can be in colour or black and white. I hope you have fun with this contest.
