Thank you for entering the contest. Although the brief stated that I preferred not to see donkeys with heavy loads, I was actually drawn to this image. Keeping the donkey off centre gives the impression that he still has a long way to go. It definitely had an impact on me, as it made me wonder about this little donkey's life.
Thank you for entering the contest. I wasn't sure about this image at first but as I kept scrolling through them all, I came back to it a few times and decided that I liked it. The fact that they cannot see over the fence is what I find amusing. It's original because it only captures four ears and half a head!
Thank you for entering the contest. It's a shame there is no EXIF data as I'm always interested to find out which camera, lens etc were used. However, I like the viewpoint (ground level), and the composition, with the donkey's head almost filling the whole frame. Texture and colours work well. The little bell adds appeal.

I would like to see your best images of donkeys, in either colour or black and white, or indeed anything in between! Animals only please, no soft toys. Also, no shots including people. I would prefer not to see donkeys carrying heavy loads, but if this is the only type of shot you have available, then that's fine. These creatures are gentle, intelligent and unassuming, and I am sure you will come up with some wonderful examples. One more thing, please give your photo a title, as in my opinion, choosing a fitting title is half the fun! Thank you!

Thank you for entering the contest. This one stood out, mainly because it has been converted to black and white, and I am a sucker for monochrome! Not only that, but the fact that you have managed to capture two donkeys together and at such close proximity to one another is also to be commended. Oh, the patience! The angle, not being head on, works, and the processing has been done well.

Thank you for entering the contest. I have chosen your image because from all the entries, I have not seen many, if any, of donkeys near or in water. This already gave the shot an advantage. I like the fact that you have captured the donkey who is drinking, and not just the two standing - it gives it balance. Colours and tones work well.
