Flights of Outdoor Stairs

A funny photo to show the concept of flights of stairs. At first sight it is a confusing image, until you discover the piece of wall art it actually is. The placement of the person close to the edge of the photo is a nice choice because it shows the real size of the whole at the second look. Well done.

A seemingly simple photo of a flight of stairs, but you chose the POV very carefully. The two curling flights of stairs interact beautifully as one flowing line. The lamp is a strong pendant with an eye catching colour pop. All in all a very creative and effective image.

Congratulations on winning this Contest. One of the most difficult things in photography, in my opinion is to bring order in chaos. And in this photo you managed to do just that. This is a story telling photo that is very pleasing to see and easy to understand, with a nicely balanced composition. I think the choice for Black and White was a very good one to bring balance to this image. Very well done, a photo that gives me a happy feeling.

A wonderful abstract photo with a playful diagonal approach and a natural colour pop that works very well. The person in the image actually shows that we are looking at a flight of stairs, without her it would be guessing what we are looking at. That makes for a very interesting and dynamic image, beautiful.

Black and White photos are always a good choice for a dramatic effect and the perfect use of light in this image enhances just that. It places the sitting person as well as his shadow in the centre of attention with a strong emotional feeling.
