Fog or Mist

This image instantly got my attention. The colours and clarity in the foreground are beautiful whilst still keeping to the brief of fog or mist. The way the sun is shining on those stones instantly draws the eye to follow the backdrop of the mist or the lilac heather in the foreground. Well done on judge 4th and thankyou for entering my challenge.

The colours in this image are amazing. It is very well composed with the building to the left and almost minimalist everywhere else. The balance of foreground to background is good, just catching the sea before the horizon. This is such a peaceful image and I now really want to visit this amazing looking Nature reserve. thankyou so much for entering and congratulations on judge 3rd

Who doesn't love a few deer, especially deer in the fog. This is such an atmospheric image. It is well balanced with the tree setting off the deer. I like that you can just make out the rolling countryside in the background and you have managed to capture some fog in the foreground which adds to the atmosphere. congratulations on a well deserved judge 2nd and thankyou for entering this challenge.

This is a lovely image. The windmill almost enveloped in mist with the very clear and bright foreground with the grasses and frosted mooring work together well. The colours are soft which works with the stillness of the water. I think you captured this just at the right time. It gives me a feeling of its cold now but I think we're in for a nice day. This image made my top 10 not only because it fits the brief but also shows people going about their day to day life. The man on the phone, the street cleaner and folk in general. The world does not stop because of thick fog, this is what it seems to relay to me. It is a well composed image, with the inclusion of the benches you can tell it was shot in some type of park. The orange on the workers coat just breaks the fog. Well done on making top 10 and thankyou for entering

Some amazing images in this contest. I was instantly drawn to this very simple but very effective image. I love the contrast of cool and warm on opposite sides of the fence. The sun rising on the right against the still cold of the left side. I like the subtle touch of green in the foreground set against the rest of the ground which is frosty. It is certainly an image that I find pleasing to the eye and calming. If you could turn this image into music I would play it whilst doing yoga.
