I love this photo. It shows the exuberance and pleasure of a GSD on the go. The happy smiling face with the deep concentration in the eyes. It makes me wonder just what it is this gorgeous dog is expectantly looking at. I really like the subtlety of the beach. There's just enough there to make the viewer know the dog is at the beach on a fine day. Helping the subject to stand out even more in the photo. I like your natural use of colours and the composition is great. Well done getting into the top ten.
Great scenery and a great looking GSD. I love the feeling of enjoyment this dog is having. It's obviously been to the beach many many times. I get the feeling it was a great day out. Your photo fits the brief perfectly. It makes me wonder what it is the GSD is looking at and running towards. Colours and composition are great. Considering you were shooting a fast moving subject at 400mm and capturing great detail of the beautiful GSD and water splashes is awesome work. Great skill, great looking dog and great photo. Well done on getting 5th place.
Max von Stephanitz was the man who standardised the GSD. It's rumoured that he bred wolf into the breed. Looking at the face of this beautiful GSD, one might consider it to be true. You've caught the ambience in this photo very well. Along with the fine facial features of the breed. The sharpness and bokeh is spot on. The GSD looks like it's stalking something. Or is it looking at you? Beautiful photo which fits the brief. Congratulations for your 3rd place.
Gorgeous GSD. Great scenery. Fantastic photo. If I could have given joint first I would have, but unfortunately I can't. I find myself looking at every bit of your photo, taking in the splendour that surrounds this magnificent breed. I love your subtle editing. You haven't gone mad with colours, or over sharpened. you've managed to keep a natural look to the GSD and it's surroundings. Great photo. Congratulations getting 2nd place.
You chose a good crop for this photo, without diminishing the obviously vast surroundings your subjects are set in. Bokeh, sharpness, colours, exposure and composition are perfect. You've not only captured the surroundings well, you've captured the relationship with the girl too. The GSD is in an environment the breed thrives on. Displaying it's protective instincts with it's ears stood proud. and it's sharp alert gaze. I love this photo. Well done on getting 4th place.
