Grass Cutting Garden Machinery (in colour)

Thank you to everyone who entered my contest. An interesting collection of photographs.

My first place goes to this photograph of this poor chap putting his heart and soul into pushing a very basic machine to cut the lawn. As hard work goes this is a brutal way of cutting a lawn although surprisingly the finish looks ok, must have a sharp cylinder. Overall the photograph gives a great impression of hard work and dedication to getting the job done especially in hot weather as the sweat on his back shows. A great capture. Thank you for entering this photograph. Such a wonderfully framed photograph. The gardens as you would expect are fantastic, never seen such large Lavender plants. The lawn looks good but I was slightly surprised to see the lawnmower without grass collecting, then I thought it must have a mulching blade fitted and I guess they must mower it ever day so the clippings would be very small. Some say it’s better for the lawn that way. Either way it’s a great photograph. Congratulations on getting my fifth place vote. Best wishes Phil.
