Beautiful capture of the various textures of elements in the photo and the slightly darker exposure created the ambiance perfectly to draw your eye straight to the focal point.

Simple, pretty and the color in this photo is extremely calming. I also love how the main dip in the heart has a heart shaped rock. Even though this heart was created by man, the composition warrants kudos.

I kept coming back to this image. The chain kept drawing me back because of the incomplete heart shape in the sand. I love the composition, the exposure and all of the ocean goodies that are mixed among the chain. I would have probably stepped right past this image, but the photographer knew that this section of chain was special!

The lighting in this photo also focuses on the heart shaped floral element and the contrast between the rugged bark of the tree and the softness of the flowers gives another reason to focus on the heart shape.

The textures in this photo are wonderful, with horizontal lines on the concrete and vertical lines of the natural wood grain. I also love how carefully centered this shutter was placed in the photo to enhance the asymmetrical placement of the heart on the shutter.

What a beautiful capture of nature and how these Banded Demoiselles mating process forms the heart shape in its purest form. The brilliant Blue outline of the heart, along with the bright Red side draws you straight to the subject matter. A simple composition that captures the essence of a heart shape outdoors, on a door. I like the juxtaposition of the photo, carefully centering the door in the frame, but the image itself is rough, asymmetrical and organic in its style.

Sometimes all you have to look for is something in nature to find the image you want. This is a wonderful shot of the natural heart shape from an open shell on a beach. I love the granular detail of the sand, the asymmetrical placement of the shell in the photo and how this particular shell created such an accurate heart shape by itself.

Even though this image was not a full heart, the photographer was clever enough to stand in such a way as to catch the reflection of the curve to finish the full heart shape. This was a very creative photo capture indeed.

This imaged tugged at my heart strings. My love for animals and the pet kingdom caught my attention immediately. The care that someone took to place the little painted heart near a water bowl told me that this person also cares very much about the well being of pets. The photographer caught this image beautifully. Simple, understated and I love it.

A natural and beautiful moment captured with this photo, and the blurred background from the shallow depth of field brings out the detail of the composition. I'm sure it was hard enough to find a heart shaped piece of barbed wire, but to capture two little loving birds on it at the same time was a nice touch.
