"I Love Italy" (photos taken in Italy)

What can I say. This photo of Torre del Mangia in Siena just had to be the winner. I love Rome, Milan, Venice, but this photo is just out of this world. I am not an expert in details of photography, but this is just amazing. Compared to similar photos this is just perfect with straight lines and everything centered. It must have taken a lot of effort to find the exact position

This photo almost made it to my top 10. It shows everything I love about Rome and Italy. The food, the wine the nice restaurants where you can sit outside. The Vespa parked just outside make it so typical italian. All that is needed to make this scenario perfect, is to sit at the table with a glass of wine and some antipasto. The photo itself is made in a perfect angle to show the total atmosphere.

It is impossible for a photo NOT to come in my top 10, if it is showing one of my absolute favorite spots in Rome. Campo de' Fiori. This one was the best, showing the atmosphere in the market. Specially with all the food, and not so much the souvenirs.. Unfortunately it is turning a little more to become a market for the tourists and not so much for the locals. Like the bright colors in the photo.

I knew when I made this contest I would get a lot of photos from Rome, and also from Venice. I didn't expect that many of the gondolas in the channals of Venice. A lot of them were very nice, but quite a few a little to much tourist photos for my taste. This one though, I just loved from the very first sight. Very peacefull, great colors and very nice reflections from the buildings. It really shows that you get more atmosphere from the small and narrow channals.
