Lakes with Autumn Colours

The composition and lighting of this photo made me look at it many times. My appreciation grew and I added it to the Top Ten category. The slightly blurred reflections and the foreground details are excellent. Romania has some beautiful places that I may never see in person. Thank you for sharing this experience.

This photo contrasts very well the bright yellow trees with the dark weather above the mountains. The picture has a "mood" that many hikers feel and understand. Contrasting shades of green provide balance. The tree limbs at the top of the picture add depth to the scene. Well done!

This composition of beautiful colours utilizes a "peekaboo" technique that pulls the viewer into the picture and frames the lake. The colours are rich and vibrant. As your eyes scan the image, you soon end up studying the path on the left side of the lake and wishing that you were there. Beautiful shot.

I selected photos of lakes with no sign of human development. There were many beautiful photos, but nature is best.

The number of fall colours and the density of the trees are amazing. It makes one wonder how the photographer reached this point. Perhaps the picture was taken from a boat. The still water adds serenity. I love the calming effect of this wonderful photo. Nothing beats pure nature.
